North Atlantic Industries社のマルチファンクションI/Oボードは、予め用意された100種類以上の各種オプションモジュールを、1枚のボードに最大6種類選択して搭載でき、COTS製品をカスタマイズすることが可能です。
バックグランドで実⾏されるビルトインテストが実装されており、ボードレベル、モジュールレベル、チャンネルレベルでの不具合もしくはケーブルの接触不良、ショート、許容範囲外のセンサー信号⼊⼒といった障害を検出することができます。
オプションモジュールをSBCと組み合わせることにより、競合他社より少ない枚数のボードでシステムを構成することでき、省スペース、省重量、省電力（SWaP）を実現します。
また、カスタムボードを設計製造する必要がないためNREが不要で、コスト削減、短納期に対応可能です。
搭載⽤電源も含めて、North Atlantic Industries社のCOTS製品を組み合わせることでシステムを構成することができるので、動作保証の取れた製品としてすぐに利⽤することが可能です。
